Today, we remember Charlie Kirk and the impact he had on a generation of young conservatives.
Charlie dedicated his life to encouraging young Americans to engage in the ideas, principles, and conversations shaping our country. He challenged people to speak boldly, defend what they believe, and refuse to sit on the sidelines.
Perhaps most disturbing today is seeing people openly celebrate his death simply because of his political beliefs. When hatred of conservatives becomes so deep that the death of a political opponent is treated as something to celebrate, we should all recognize how dangerous that is.
But we will not be intimidated into silence. We will fight back—not with hatred or violence, but by speaking louder, organizing stronger, voting, showing up in our communities, and refusing to surrender our convictions out of fear.
For the North Dakota Young Republicans, Charlie's legacy reminds us why involvement matters. He inspired countless young people to find their voice, have difficult conversations, and stand courageously for their convictions.
Today we remember Charlie and recommit to carrying forward the courage to speak, organize, and lead.
May he rest in peace.
