Today, Stepheny Jane Reger, North Dakota ESGR Volunteer, was honored to present an Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Statement of Support to the Dickinson Parks & Recreation Board of Directors during their monthly board meeting.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Tim Daniel, Board President, for signing the Statement of Support and reaffirming Dickinson Parks & Recreation's commitment to supporting employees and individuals who serve in the National Guard and Reserve. This pledge recognizes the valuable contributions, leadership, and dedication our service members bring to both their military and civilian careers.

The signed Statement of Support will be proudly displayed at the beautiful West River Community Center, serving as a visible reminder of the organization's support for the men and women of the United States Armed Forces.

Thank you to Dickinson Parks & Recreation for standing with our military community and helping strengthen the partnership between employers and those who serve our nation.

Our Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) volunteers were honored to participate in the recent 119th Wing Air National Guard Family Day. The event celebrated the families who support their airmen every day with an afternoon filled with food, games, activities, and family fun.

ESGR volunteers Dave Johnston and Kristy Wangler connected with airmen and their families throughout the afternoon, sharing information about ESGR resources, how to nominate supportive employers, and the important mission of ESGR.

We’re grateful for opportunities like these to connect with our military community and recognize the families and employers who help make service possible.

Never Forget. Always Support.
Twenty-five years ago today, on September 11, 2001, our nation was attacked. The Pentagon was struck. Nearly 3,000 lives were lost. And the course of service for America’s Guard and Reserve members changed forever.
In the days, months, and years that followed, hundreds of thousands of Citizen Warriors answered the call — leaving families, careers, and communities to defend our freedom. Their employers stood beside them. That partnership is why ESGR exists.
Today we pause to honor the memory of those we lost, the heroism of first responders and service members, and the enduring commitment of the employers who continue to support the Guard and Reserve.
We will never forget.
And we will never stop supporting those who serve.

North Dakota Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) is proud to announce that Buffalo Grill has officially signed a Statement of Support.

Jacqui Beier, Front of House Manager/Banquet & Catering Manager, proudly signed on behalf of Buffalo Grill, demonstrating the restaurant’s commitment to supporting Guard and Reserve employees and their families.

“Buffalo Grill is committed to supporting our Guard and Reserve employees and their families, as well as those active across our nation,” said Beier. “We recognize the sacrifices they make and appreciate the time and effort they give to protect and serve our country. We are honored to stand with our employees, communities, and those who serve and promise to do our part to ensure they know their service is respected, valued, and supported by the entire Buffalo Grill team.”

🤝 A valuable opportunity to connect and learn! 📖

Business and community leaders gathered earlier this week in Jamestown for an Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) lunch and overview.

Delton Steele, an ESGR volunteer, shared information about ESGR’s mission and programs while highlighting the important role employers play in supporting employees who serve in the Guard and Reserve.

As part of the event, each participating organization signed a Statement of Support, demonstrating their commitment to supporting their employees and the men and women who serve our country and communities.

Statement of Support Signatories:
Scott Edinger & Justin Bolinsky – Jamestown ND Police Department
Nicole Deal & Yvette Holub – Medallus Medical/Urgent Care - Jamestown
Adam Gehlhar – Jamestown Public Schools
David Steele – Jamestown City Council
Dean Haas – RM Stoudt, Inc.
Sarah Hellekson – City of Jamestown - Government
Polly Peterson – University of Jamestown

Nearly half of the United States Armed Forces are composed of members of the Guard and Reserve. The Department of War shares these service members with their civilian employers, making employer support an essential part of their ability to serve.

Events like this help raise awareness among employers about the important role they play in supporting their Guard and Reserve employees—and recognize the organizations that are committed to doing so.
