Following the announcement of Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) in Bismarck recently, the Bismarck Landfill will no longer be giving away or distributing firewood, either free of charge or for purchase. This precaution is being taken to help prevent the spread of EAB and protect ash trees throughout Bismarck and surrounding communities. The next regular Bismarck City Commission meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 8, at 5:15 PM in the Tom Baker Room at the City-County Building, 221 North Fifth Street, in Bismarck. Agenda items include a public hearing related to motorized scooters, a public hearing for the 2027 City budget, a request to discuss steps moving forward following detection of EAB in Bismarck, and more.

The City of Bismarck encourages citizens to provide their comments for public hearing items on the Bismarck City Commission agenda via email to [email protected]. The comments will be sent to the Commission and placed within the minutes. To ensure your comments are received before the meeting, please submit them by 3:30 PM on the day of the meeting and include the item number that your comment references.
