Bishopville Police Department Urges Residents to Prepare for Impending Winter Storm
The Bishopville Police Department is encouraging all residents to prepare now for the winter storm expected to impact our area in the coming days. Citizens are advised to make sure they have enough food, water, medications, and other essential supplies to last several days in case travel becomes hazardous or power outages occur.
We ask everyone to take a moment to check on elderly neighbors, family members, and those with special needs to ensure they have the resources and support they need to remain safe and comfortable throughout the storm.
Residents are encouraged to complete any necessary travel and preparations before the storm arrives and remain off the road once conditions worsen. This will allow the South Carolina Department of Transportation and local officials to safely and effectively clear the roadways as soon as possible.
City, county, and state officials will continue to collaborate with the Emergency Operations Center to keep our citizens informed and up to date as conditions develop.
