165 Years - that's how long she's been standing.
Oh the stories that could be told.... children learning to read and write..... laughter from celebrations...... tears of joy and sadness from celebrations..... women bonding over the cooking of stew, rice pudding and chicken dinners.....gatherings, celebrations, new beginnings, old traditions.....
The Colony School is the largest rental venue in Bishop Hill, and can accommodate reunions, showers, parties, and off-site meetings. Owned and maintained by the Old Settlers' this building has a kitchen, wi-fi, and heat/air-conditioning.
Your support of of our annual fundraisers help keep this building alive and maintained. We are proud to not only call her "home", but also offer a unique rental venue in the historic village of Bishop Hill as a step back in time.
