🚨 PUBLIC NOTICE: FIRE HYDRANT TESTING IN THE BISCOE AREA SOUTH of EAST & WEST MAIN STREETS & HIGHWAY 24-27. 🚨

The Biscoe Fire Department will be conducting fire hydrant flow testing beginning on July 31st, 2025 and continuing through October 31st, 2025. This routine maintenance is essential to ensure our hydrants are functioning properly and ready for emergency use.

What Residents Should Know:

Temporary water discoloration or low pressure may occur during testing.

If discoloration happens, run cold water from a faucet until it clears.

Please avoid doing laundry during times that your water is discolored to prevent staining.

This testing is necessary for public safety and ensures that our firefighting systems remain in optimal condition.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation.

The Biscoe Fire Department was organized and chartered in 1950. We have proudly served our town and surrounding communities for 75 years with a dedicated group of volunteer firefighters. We currently hold a Class 4 ISO rating.

Biscoe Fire Department will continue with our annual hydrant testing within our SE & SW areas of our district (south of 24/27). Please use caution if you see your firefighters in the area working.

The Biscoe Fire Department will be conducting our annual hydrant testing and maintenance starting today throughout October 31st, 2024. If you experience brownish water please allow your water to run a little longer in your home to clear it up.

Biscoe Fire Department will be conducting a live fire training exercise located on Aileen Ave tonight starting around 6 pm. Aileen Ave will not be passable from 622 Aileen Ave to Cedar Creek Rd/Arthur Drive. You will be able to get to Cedar Creek Road via South Main Street in front of Biscoe Auto. Please use caution if you must travel in this area.

***IMPORTANT NOTICE***

Beginning around 8:00am on Saturday, April 6, 2024, Biscoe Fire Department will be conducting a live fire training exercise located on Mill St. At times, you will see smoke in the area.

Mill St. will be closed from Brook St. (next to the daycare) and the first entrance to the park. You will still be able to access the Deaton-Monroe Park via Craven St. to Mill St. Please use caution in the area.

Reminder that today 12/10/23 starting at 4 pm members of the Biscoe Fire Department will be at the Biscoe Park to giveaway 50 bicycles. We will draw for these bicycles after the tree lighting ceremony around 5:15 pm. We will be located at the picnic shelter, so come see us Rain or Shine.

It's the first day of a new month! Remember to test your smoke alarms! Working smoke alarms decrease the chances of dying in a home fire by 50%. Make sure you have smoke alarms on every level of your home and inside every bedroom!
