I. Celebrations 🎺🪊🥁 🤗
Wonderful concert this past Wednesday. Thank you Miss Peterson and the Lowell/BHS band and choir! I do want to send a huge thank you out to the PLC team time collaboration. Can we celebrate all of our 8th graders as we wish them well at the high school! We're rooting for you! Don't be strangers!

Announcement one:
6th and 7th grade students will be coming home with books this week and a book report packet. We'd love to offer English class extra credit to all students when they return next year! Summer reading for everyone.

Announcement two;
Parents, you've been super. Thank you for volunteering to be chaperones, coaches, artists, and for monitoring your child's grades, having them put down their cellphones and read for 15 minutes every night. Have a great summer and get yourselves some ice cream!

Announcement three: 👈👈
Spirit week is this last week of school.
Monday: Sports wear , Tues: Pajamas, Wednes: Twin day, Thurs: Hawaiian

Announcement four:
Summer school starts on June 1st at 8am. Our summer school teachers are Mr. Padre and Mr. Croix (excellent teachers who'll help students with reading and math!) The bus schedule will be posted on BUSD's website within the next couple of days.

II. Logistics 😨😨😨
A. Monday: Awards at 2:15pm in the auditorium
B. Tuesday: 8th Grade picture at 9am in the auditorium
C. Tuesday: Yearbook signing and Mrs. Barco's snowcones @ 2:20pm
D. Wednesday: Pizza party (end of year celebration) in the cafeteria @ 2:45pm
E. Wednesday: Promotion ceremony @ 6pm in the auditorium, 8th graders must report by 5:30pm
F. Thursday:
1. Final locker and coat room clean out will be at 9:30am,
2. Staff vs. students volleyball game in the cafeteria @ 10:00am,
3. Lunch for students will be at :00am, extended recess until 11:50am,
4. Dismissal @ 12:00

At last Wednesday’s CAC Track & Field Championship in Benson. Girls relay placed in the 4x400, Zoey Mendez won high jump, Christian Serrano placed in discus, and Nevaya McDaniel placed in the 200. Great season!

Yesterday’s 5th & 6th grade Benson Track & Field meet. Noemi got 3rd in hurdles and Logan got 3rd in high jump, 3rd in discus and 1st in shot put.

I. Celebrations!
I'd like to celebrate Lowell School's Honorary Top Five Academic Students!! Due to the size of our current 8th Grade class, we decided to do five instead of ten. We'll return to "ten" next school year. We designated the valedictorian and salutatorian, but the others are listed in alphabetical order, not ranking order. A big congratulations to the following students:

Marcus Alva (Valedictorian)
Gideon Wallace (Salutatorian)
John Bainbridge
Ariana Balbatro-Ramos
Sebatian Rodriguez

These students will be recognized at the school board meeting on May 12th, the awards ceremon on May 18th and the promotion ceremony on May 20th.

Announcement one:
Kartchner Caverns field trip on Monday, April 27th. Leaving at 11:30 and returning about 5pm. Parents will be responsible for picking up students. All chaperones, please report by 11:15am to Lowell School.

Announcement two:
1. Baseball, Lowell vs. ALA, home on Tues., April 28th
2. Baseball, Lowell vs. Palominas, home on Thurs., April 30th
3. Track, home meet on Wednes
4. Track, Benson on Thurs (5th and 6th grades only)

II. Logistics

B. Tuesday; Baseball @ Lowell vs ALA
C. Wednes: home track meet, after school tutoring with a late bus at 4:30
D. Thurs: 5th and 6th grades only to the track meet in Benson, Baseball: Lowell vs. Palominas home, student council field trip to Old Bisbee
E. Friday; Friday school at BHS, 8-12
