Listen folks, tomorrow is the runoff election.
We have one candidate who, in their first run for office, exceeded expectations and earned a place in the runoff. This is someone who is down-to-earth, understands the law as an attorney, is a devoted spouse, and has worked with people from both sides of the aisle to build partnerships and find solutions that benefit everyone.
On the other hand, we have a candidate who has been active in the community as an organizer but has yet to present a clear vision for moving our community forward and has run for office multiple times without success.
It’s fair to ask: What’s different this time? What new ideas, support, or strategy are being brought to the table?
And let’s be honest about something else. When a candidate starts spreading claims and trying to associate their opponent with people or situations that have absolutely nothing to do with this race, it doesn’t look like leadership. It comes across as someone looking for an easy way to win rather than earning support through their own campaign.
If you’re going to make accusations, then be prepared to show up, defend them, and provide evidence. Otherwise, it’s just noise.
The reality is simple: RUN YOUR OWN DAMN RACE.
Voters will decide based on your outreach, your message, your record, and how you’ve campaigned throughout this election—not on distractions, rumors, or political games.
We need leaders who care about the entire community, not just one area. While some neighborhoods may require more immediate attention than others, every part of our community deserves investment, representation, and a commitment to progress.
Tomorrow, let’s show up to the polls and vote for candidates who are ready to lead, ready to serve, and ready to put the needs of the people first.
Make your voice heard. Vote in the runoff election Tomorrow June 16th
