Alabama Hospice and Palliative Care Organization

Alabama Hospice and Palliative Care Organization AHPCO was founded to educate, advocate and promote excellence in hospice care throughout the state.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember September 11, 2001, and the lives forever changed that day.

We honor the memory of those who lost their lives, the families who carried unimaginable loss, and the first responders, military members, healthcare professionals, and countless others who stepped forward to serve and help.

As we mark this 25-year milestone, may we remember not only the tragedy, but also the compassion, courage, unity, and selflessness that emerged in its aftermath.

Today, we pause.
We remember.
We honor.
And we will never forget.

This week, Alabama Hospice & Palliative Care Organization joins communities across the nation in recognizing National Su***de Prevention Week and the importance of making space for conversations about mental health, hope, and connection.

For those working in hospice and palliative care, we know the power of being present, listening without judgment, and supporting people through difficult moments. Every person deserves compassion, dignity, and the opportunity to feel heard.

💛 A simple conversation can make a difference.
💛 Reaching out can remind someone they are not alone.
💛 Asking how someone is doing—and truly listening—matters.

This week, let’s choose connection over silence and compassion over judgment. Check in on a friend, colleague, neighbor, or loved one. Sometimes, simply letting someone know “I’m here for you” can be an important first step toward hope.

If you or someone you know is struggling, help is available. Call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

Welcome VuePoint Diagnostics, as a Boo Yah SPONSOR for Alabama Hospice and Palliative Care Organization’s Annual Meeting, October 14-16 at Gulf Shores!

Since 2014, VuePoint Diagnostics has been assisting healthcare professionals by providing technology and colleagues that bring diagnostic services to the individual. Everyone deserves equal access to healthcare information and the company was founded initially to serve individuals receiving care in skilled nursing facilities, home health, and hospice settings. Access to radiology and ultrasound services required transportation to an imaging facility and this created an additional burden and cost on the healthcare providers and often delayed access to information that would inform the care plan.

VuePoint Diagnostics is a leading provider of mobile diagnostic screening solutions designed to support Medicare Advantage plans, healthcare providers, and value-based care organizations. We specialize in delivering in-home and on-site preventive health services that help improve HEDIS performance, boost Medicare Star Ratings, and enhance risk adjustment accuracy—all while making healthcare more accessible and convenient for members.
