The 7th Project

The 7th Project Seeks to provide assistance with educational, nutritional, economic, and basic quality of life impro

The 7th Project Association is incorporated in the State of Alabama as an association. We are currently awaiting approval of our status as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. We are permitted to operate as a 501(c)(3) organization pending final approval of our paperwork. The 7th Project Association is governed by a Board of Directors composed of recognized community leaders and funded by annual

gifts of association membership dues. The Association’s primary goal is to fund congressional internships for deserving college students who are from the 7th Congressional district. College students will participate in a four-week Congressional internship in the office of Congresswoman Terri Sewell. The Association will provide housing on a college campus in Washington DC and a small weekly stipend during the internship. Interns must be enrolled in college and must be a resident of Alabama’s 7th District with high academic achievement and demonstrated financial need. In addition to congressional internships, the 7th Project Association in the future plans to partner with community organizations to provide support funding for school supply drives, food drives, and other worthy causes and events that benefit the people of the 7th Congressional District.
