Rescue 112 was dispatched today to assist a mother whose child had accidentally become locked inside a vehicle.

Thankfully, our crew was able to quickly help resolve the situation and ensure everyone was safe. As an added bonus, the crew was rewarded afterward with a little “fur baby” love from this sweet puppy!

Great job by the members of Rescue 112 for another professional and compassionate response!

Rocky Ridge Fire District

Strong storms moved through our area overnight, keeping RRFD crews extremely busy through the night and into this morning.

Our firefighters responded to numerous incidents, including downed trees, transformer fires, and multiple interstate motor vehicle accidents caused by the severe weather. Crews worked tirelessly in difficult conditions to clear roadways, mitigate hazards, and keep the public safe.

We are proud of the outstanding work and professionalism displayed by all of our members during this weather event. Thank you to our dispatchers, utility crews, law enforcement partners, and surrounding agencies for their teamwork throughout the storm response.

Please continue to use caution while traveling, as there may still be debris, standing water, and isolated hazards throughout the area.

Great job by all involved!
