Nothing beats a Birch Bay Sunset ๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŒ…๐Ÿฆ€

Where the forest meets the sea, Birch Bay is a crescent moon bay tucked between the Cascade Mountains and the San Juan and Canadian Gulf Islands. Take a stroll along the beach, or a sandy walk at low tide, and look back to see Mt. Baker. Sunsets only get more vivid as the days get cooler; take a walk and soak in the beauty!

Take a final ride today on the Plover Ferry, an 82-year-old wooden small passenger ferry, the second-oldest in Washington State, that was built in 1944 as part of the Alaska Packers Association out of Semiahmoo. This 17-passenger ferry will take you around the Blaine working harbor, where you can enjoy seals up close, as well as waterfowl, cormorants, and herons, with a guided tour that shares the history of the Plover Ferry and Drayton Harbor. The future of the Plover Ferry is uncertain, so make sure you take a Ferry ride before itโ€™s possibly too late!
