As part of our ongoing Portrait of a Graduate work, Chenango Valley teachers and school counselors recently participated in professional learning focused on financial literacy.

The session explored New York State's personal finance learning objectives and how financial literacy skills can be taught and reinforced throughout a student's K-12 experience.

From budgeting and saving to understanding credit and earning income, these are important life skills students will use long after graduation.

We look forward to sharing more about our Portrait of a Graduate work and the many ways it continues to come to life across Chenango Valley.

Yesterday, we celebrated seniors who earned the New York State Seal of Biliteracy and the Seal of Civic Readiness at a luncheon.

These honors recognize students' achievements in language proficiency, civic knowledge, engagement, and leadership.

Thank you to our Guidance Department for organizing the event and helping recognize these accomplishments!
