A NOTE FROM BENJI FEDERMAN:

Today, I submitted my letter of resignation as Broome County Republican Committee Chairman. My wife, Mina and I are expecting a baby boy in August and it’s time to take a step back to focus on family. As I’ve been told many times over the past month – my life’s about to change, for the busier and the better!

It’s bittersweet to step away because we’ve built something truly special and continue to be recognized as one of the top County Republican parties in the state. That’s because we’ve remained hyper-focused on what’s important – recruiting the most talented and effective candidates, fundraising relentlessly, and running aggressive campaigns.

I’m so proud of the victories that we’ve earned together over the last three and a half years. We helped usher in a new generation of leadership with Supreme Court Justice Cheryl Insinga, District Attorney Paul Battisti, County Clerk Aaron Martin, Endicott Mayor Nick Burlingame, re-electing Binghamton Mayor Jared Kraham despite a 2-1 Democratic advantage and so many more.

The Lincoln Day Dinner, Clambake and Chairman’s Holiday Reception have become can’t-miss events. We hosted countless Young Republican meetups and hosted the 2024 New York State Republican Nominating Convention right here in Binghamton to energize our local party.

We never wavered from a tough fight – holding Democrats accountable and always drawing a stark contrast between their policies and ours.

Special thanks to our Broome GOP Officers Chris Dziedzic, Laurie Gialanella, Tom Augostini, Elections Commissioner Mark Smith, Deputy Commissioner Joe Bertoni and the entire Board of Elections staff for their efforts as well as the Broome County Republican Women’s Club for your support and partnership.

Speaking of our great team, I’m happy to report that longtime Vice Chairman Chris Dziedzic will serve as Acting Chairman to carry on our great legacy of Republican politics here in Broome County. Chris has our full trust and support.

I’ve made the difficult decision not to seek re-election, but I remain fully committed to finishing my term strong and continuing to stand up for our communities.
