Broome County Recycles The Division of Solid Waste Management leads education and outreach for recycling processes throughout Broome County to increase recycling awareness.

The Broome County Landfill provides year-round service to Broome County residents for the disposal of waste materials as well as recyclable materials. Many materials are accepted at the landfill, and a list can be found on our website at www.gobroomecounty.com/solidwaste. Hazardous waste and electronic recycling collections are held year-round for Broome County residents. A $5 flat fee will be charged on all non-designated days, and a list of free collection dates can be found on our website. Tioga County residents can participate in hazardous waste and electronic collection days during the months of April - November only. Tioga County residents are not permitted to bring regular waste to the landfill.
