From the Harrison County Utility Authority:
🗑️ Debris Collection Reminder
Debris and garbage collection will continue as normal following the recent storm.
Before placing debris at the curb, please remember:
✔ Up to 8 cubic yards will be collected each week. Larger piles may take several weeks to remove.
✔ Keep debris away from mailboxes, fire hydrants, gas meters and utility lines.
✔ Do not place debris under power lines or low-hanging trees.
✔ Limbs and debris must be 8 feet long or less.
✔ Place all food waste in your garbage cart, not in debris piles.
❌ No contractor-generated waste
❌ No paint, oil, chemicals, tires or pesticides
❌ No appliances containing refrigerants
Need to dispose of appliances with refrigerants? The Harrison County Household Hazardous Waste Facility is open the second Saturday of each month from 8 a.m. to noon. Weekday appointments are also available. Call (228) 896-0206 for details.
Please see the attached flyer for complete collection guidelines.
