The Billings Volunteer Fire Department was paged out to three separate fires. The first reported 🚨🔥FIRE was a barn fire in Garfield County. We were paged out as mutual aid. 

Shortly after returning back to the station, we were paged out to two additional fires along I-35 near mile markers 202 and 206.

Multiple area agencies were called in for mutual aid, and we want to sincerely thank each department for their quick response, hard work, and willingness to assist. We are extremely grateful for the cooperation and dedication of our neighboring departments.

With conditions remaining extremely dry, we want to remind everyone that we are still experiencing elevated fire danger. Even with the little bit of rain we have received, the risk of fire has not gone away.

Please take a few extra precautions:

* Make sure you are not dragging chains while traveling.
* Check your tires and do not drive on a flat or damaged tire.
* Be extremely cautious with bonfires, burn piles, and anything that could create a spark.
* Never assume a small fire cannot quickly become a large one.

It only takes one spark to start a fire. Please help us prevent unnecessary fires and keep our community, homes, roadsides, and surrounding areas safe.

Today, the Billings Volunteer Fire Department solemnly remembers all those who lost their lives and everyone whose lives were forever changed by September 11, 2001.

We remember the innocent lives lost, the families who mourned, the first responders who answered the call, and the countless people who carried the impact of that day long after the smoke cleared.

25 years later, we remember.
We honor.
We will never forget. 🕯️🇺🇸

🚨 A Friendly Reminder from the Billings Volunteer Fire Department 🚨

Noble County is NOT currently under a burn ban, but that does not mean conditions are safe for fires to get out of control. With the dry conditions we’re experiencing, it can take just a small spark or ember to quickly turn into a dangerous wildfire. 🔥

We ask everyone to please take these conditions seriously and use extra caution with anything that could potentially start a fire. A little prevention can go a long way in protecting our homes, families, property, and community. ❤️

Please stay safe, stay alert, and help us prevent fires before they start!

The Billings Volunteer Fire Department sends our deepest condolences, thoughts, and prayers to the Wellston Fire Department, their firefighters, and the family and loved ones of their fallen firefighter.

There are no words that can truly express the heartbreak of losing one of our own. A firefighter doesn’t just serve alongside their brothers and sisters—they become family. Today, we stand beside the Wellston Fire Department and their community as they face this unimaginable loss.

May the family find comfort in the memories and legacy left behind, and may every firefighter who served alongside them find strength in each other during this difficult time.
