Some recent news from RiverStone Health that impacts AHEC.

We had a busy February with a number of changes, including Jenny taking her talents to Rocky Vista University - Montana (lucky them!) and Rhianna moving to a new role at RiverStone.

We're thrilled to see how AHEC continues to grow and evolve.

Applications now open: Family Medicine Sub-Internships ✨🩺

Are you a fourth-year medical student looking for a hands-on, meaningful clinical experience? Our Family Medicine Sub-Internships offer an intellectually challenging and rewarding opportunity to train alongside experienced physicians while caring for real patients.

Students work side-by-side with Montana Family Medicine Residency faculty and resident physicians, rotating through the RiverStone Health Clinic, as well as community hospitals and rural clinics across the region. It’s an immersive experience designed to strengthen clinical skills and deepen your understanding of family medicine in both urban and rural settings.

We're celebrating a little early, but tomorrow is Jenny's Work Anniversary!

Last week, before kicking off the long weekend, Nikole and Jenny represented AHEC and the WWAMI Billings Track Office at the Billings Career Center. They were able to discuss career paths in various healthcare fields, scholarship tidbits, and specifics about the WWAMI program. Students then had great questions for our three WWAMI medical students in attendance, who provided firsthand information.

The brand new RiverStone Health Wellness on Wheels (WOW) Mobile Unit happened to be at the Career Center at the same time. During the students' lunch break, Katie Keith, Nurse Practitioner, was able to give the WWAMI students a tour of the bus, discuss current and future plans, and help promote the new program.
