Nurse-Family Partnership is a community health program that truly changes lives -- for generations to come. Starting early in a woman's pregnancy, a specially trained and caring nurse visits the mom at home to answer the many questions that come with pregnancy and parenthood. Nurse-Family Partnership is an evidence-based community health program proven to significantly improve the early health, well-being, school readiness, and economic sufficiency of low-income children and their families. Registered nurses visit each family regularly from early in the pregnancy until the child turns two. Three scientific research trials have proved that Nurse-Family Partnership helps families overcome health and educational disparities; child abuse, neglect, and injuries; and poverty and juvenile delinquency. These trials suggest that every dollar invested in the Nurse-Family Partnership can yield more than five dollars in return. Locations:
