Providing help for first-time moms

Nurse-Family Partnership is a community health program that truly changes lives -- for generations to come. Starting early in a woman's pregnancy, a specially trained and caring nurse visits the mom at home to answer the many questions that come with pregnancy and parenthood. Through ongoing visits, the registered nurse forms a trusting relationship with the mom

, supporting her efforts to create a better life for her child and herself. The relationship continues until the baby turns two. Mission
Nurse-Family Partnership works to cost-effectively improve pregnancy outcomes, children's health and development, and economic self-sufficiency for eligible first-time parents. By doing so, the partnership benefits multiple generations. The Nurse-Family Partnership of Montana is part of a national network of Nurse-Family Partnership providers. More about the national organization can be found at: http://www.nursefamilypartnership.org. Our Mission:
Nurse-Family Partnership works to cost-effectively improve pregnancy outcomes, children's health and development, and economic self-sufficiency for low-income, vulnerable first-time parents. Overview
Nurse-Family Partnership is an evidence-based community health program proven to significantly improve the early health, well-being, school readiness, and economic sufficiency of low-income children and their families. Registered nurses visit each family regularly from early in the pregnancy until the child turns two. Three scientific research trials have proved that Nurse-Family Partnership helps families overcome health and educational disparities; child abuse, neglect, and injuries; and poverty and juvenile delinquency. These trials suggest that every dollar invested in the Nurse-Family Partnership can yield more than five dollars in return. Locations:
