BOSTON – A former physician employed at the Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center in Bedford, Mass., pleaded guilty on Aug. 27, 2026 in federal court in Boston to receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

🚧 TEMPORARY RIVER STREET ROAD CLOSURE & DETOUR 🚧

Beginning Wednesday, August 26 through Friday, August 28, the eastbound lane of River Street (toward Billerica Center) will be closed daily from 9:00 AM–3:00 PM for scheduled construction and maintenance.

➡️ Eastbound Detour:
River Street → Bridle Road → Bridge Street → Boston Road

🏠 Local Access: Eastbound travel on River Street past Bridle Road will be restricted to local residents.

✅ The westbound/outbound lane will remain OPEN and will not be affected.

⚠️ Please expect delays near Billerica Center, allow extra travel time, and use alternate routes when possible. Drivers should reduce speed and use caution when approaching the work and detour areas.
