Town of Billerica, MA This is the Official page for the Town of Billerica. The Town of Billerica is located 20 miles northwest of Boston and borders Lowell to the south.

Incorporated in 1655, the town remained predominately agricultural until the mid-nineteenth century when a major mill complex was sited on the Concord River in North Billerica. Currently Billerica has close to 40,000 residents. The town is within minutes of Routes 3 and 495.

The Iraq & Afghanistan Dog Tag Memorial is coming to Billerica this October.

This powerful traveling memorial honors the men and women who lost their lives while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, with thousands of individual dog tags coming together to form the American flag.
The memorial will be on display at the Billerica Elks from October 10–12, 2026, and will remain open for viewing 24 hours a day from setup through takedown.

We invite the community to stop by, reflect, and help us honor their service and remember their names. Thank you Billerica Veterans Services for bringing this opportunity to Billerica

Messages from the Water Department!

1. Water Main Shutdown Black Hawk Road from Partridge to Robin Roads:

Announcing a water main shutdown for the water main replacement on Blackhawk Road, affecting Partridge to Robin Roads. The shutdown will occur on September 15th at 7:30 AM for 4 to 6 hours. Discolored water may affect some of the surrounding areas.

2. Water Main Flushing September 15th to 17th:
Announcing Water Main Flushing on Treble Cove Road from Concord Road to Bridge Street, and the Nutting Lake Area. The flushing will occur Tuesday thru Thursday from 3 PM to 9 PM. Discolored water may affect some of the surrounding areas.

EMPLOYEE APPRECIATION DAY - Tuesday, September 15, 2026

Town Hall, the Council on Aging, Library, and DPW Administration offices will close at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, to allow employees to participate in the Town's annual Employee Appreciation Day.

Please note that the Library will reopen at 5:00 p.m. for scheduled evening programming.

From the Billerica Water Department:

Billerica Water Division – Fall Water Main Flushing

The Billerica Water Division will resume its annual Fall Water Main Flushing Program beginning Tuesday, September 15th. Flushing will take place Tuesdays through Thursdays from 3:30 to 9:00 PM and will continue through November or until the program is completed. Residents may experience temporary discolored water or reduced water pressure while flushing is underway. On Mondays, the specific areas of flushing will be notified via Regroup.

Announcing water main shutdown for the water main replacement on Greenville and B Streets. The shutdown will occur on September 9th at 7:30 AM for 4 to 6 hours. Only Greenville and four houses involved with B Street will result in no water, and discolored water may affect some of the surrounding areas.
