Happy Thanksgiving. Today we give thanks to God for what we have.
The Thanksgiving we celebrate today in our country, is not about Pilgrims and Indians, or the President Washington Proclamation or the many other proclamations that followed.
Thanksgiving was mostly a New England thing as most of the Country did not celebrate; and it was falling out of favor even in New England again.
It was revived by a Native New Englander from New Hampshire and daughter of a Revolutionary War Soldier, Sarah J. (Buell) Hale (author of Mary had a Little Lamb and the traditional Thanksgiving meal that most of us have today).

Sarah wrote to many Presidents, trying to revive Thanksgiving. During the Civil War President Lincoln decided that Sarah was correct and the Country would have a day of Thanks and Prayer. The War between the States was stopped for one day, the last Thursday of November as a Day of Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the heavens.

Today we have corrupted, demonic politicians who want to get rid of this Holiday. We have people who have come into our Country and want to get rid of this Holiday. They come here because of the great opportunity this Country grants, but they do not understand why this Country is so great and why these opportunities exist. Today is one of those days that creates those opportunities and greatness.

So today sit back and enjoy the greatness and opportunity around you and thank God above for it.

Thank you, Sarah Hale and the first Republican President, President Abraham Lincoln for reviving this great day.
