As we wrap up the school year, consider helping students in need by donating your students gently used or new school supplies. Boxes will be located in each building office. West Central Elementary parents, please fill out the form that was sent home. West Central Middle School and West Central High School students have no form, but please have conversations with your students on if you would like them to participate in this or not.

Thank you for helping us make a difference!

Today, 14 West Central students competed in the Courageous Smiles Track Meet held at Illini West High School in Carthage. This special event featured a variety of fun field activities, including: standing long jump, softball and tennis ball throws, bean bag toss, soccer and football kicks, and a 50-meter race.

Beyond the competition, students had a blast with kazoos, hula-hooping, and blowing bubbles. The day concluded on a high note, with every student receiving a medal after lunch to celebrate their hard work and sportsmanship.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Knights of Columbus, the West Central Illinois Special Education Cooperative, and Illini West for inviting us to participate in such a wonderful event!

To wrap up the day, those left on the bus visited Dairy Queen for a well-deserved treat! Most of the students in Mrs. Keating's class have helped run the "Caffeine and Communication Cart" this year, and they were able to use some of their hard-earned profits to pay for their orders. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to practice their communication skills in a real-world setting while enjoying a cold snack.
Students who attended were:

Jozie Seitz
Brantley Jones
