Dear City of Bigelow residents,

We want to remind all residents that atvs and four wheelers must be operated with care, a valid license, and proper riding technique within city limits. Recently, the city has received an increasing number of complaints regarding unsafe and inappropriate use of these vehicles.

Reports include ATVs being driven through and in the city park, traveling in the wrong traffic lanes, swerving on the road, and other unsafe behavior. These actions create safety concerns for both the riders and the community.

If you witness unsafe ATV or four-wheeler activity please contact Nobles County Sheriff’s department at 507-295-5400.

We love the freedom of our little community but we need to keep the community safe and respectful for everyone.

Pick up clean up is already in progress. Letters were sent in billing notifying everyone of the dates. If they picked up already they will not go back. This is something we do to help the city, we are not required to do so. They will not pick up regular garbage, or things that can go in your garbage.
Please read the letters in your billing so you are aware what is going on and when. It was sent out twice. Thank you.

Please stop driving vehicles and atvs through the city park. We do not want anyone to get hurt and you are wrecking the grass.

A friendly reminder that the city ordinance states sump pumps cannot go into the city sewer!

The city is receiving a lot of complaints about dogs running loose in town.
Please follow ordinances and have your animals registered and on a leash.
If you would like to report this not being followed Nobles County Sheriff’s Department is who you would contact if you would like the situation handled.

Nobles county tentative taxation meeting is scheduled for the city of Bigelow is on Monday April 20th at 9:00.
