❤️🌿 This YouTube clip was sent to me, and it made me pause for a moment and appreciate the beauty we have right here at home. ❤️🌿
I don’t just see a park when I drive through Midway, I see memories.
I see little kids catching their first fish, 1st dates, families gathering, father son moments or people just finding a quiet place to sit and think, and sunsets that somehow make everything feel a little lighter. It’s one of those places where life quietly happens. Years from now, people may not remember every detail of the day, but they’ll remember how they felt there.
That’s why places like this matter to me. They aren’t just pieces of land; they’re shared spaces where our community’s stories are written. Every family that visits leaves with memories that are uniquely their own.
There’s still a handful of projects I’d love to see completed at Midway Park, but even now, I’m constantly reminded of how beautiful it is when we simply take care of what God has blessed us with. Being entrusted with helping preserve a place like this is one of the most rewarding parts of what I get to do.
A heartfelt thank you to our Road & Bridge Pct 3 and Parks crew. The work they do every day may not always make headlines, but it absolutely makes a difference. Their pride and dedication show in every mowed trail, every cleaned-up area, and every effort to keep Midway beautiful for the next family making memories there.
I hope you’ll take a minute to watch the video and see this little piece of Dimmit County through the same lens. Sometimes we’re so busy living here that we forget just how blessed we are. ❤️
