Our county has received confirmation of its first case of influenza this season. As flu activity increases, now is the time to take steps to protect yourself, your family, and our community.

It is not too late to get your flu shot. The flu vaccine remains the best way to reduce your risk of serious illness and complications.

**10/21/25- BTGS- 12:00-4:00- flu shots only

The following information is valuable as we have received report from DPHHS of a horse in Sweet Grass County testing pisitive for West Nile Virus.

🦟 What You Need to Know About West Nile Virus (WNV)

West Nile Virus is spread through the bite of an infected mosquito. Most people don’t feel sick, but some—especially those over 60 or with certain health conditions—can develop serious symptoms like fever, fatigue, or even neurological issues.

🛡️ Prevention is key:
✔️ Use EPA-registered insect repellent
✔️ Wear long sleeves and pants outdoors
✔️ Dump standing water (think flowerpots, buckets, birdbaths)
✔️ Stay indoors at dawn and dusk
✔️ Keep window screens in good repair

There’s no vaccine for WNV—let’s protect ourselves and our neighbors by stopping mosquito bites before they happen!
