Enjoy the long weekend, Wildcats!

There will be no school on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day. We’ll see everyone back on Tuesday, September 8, ready for another great week!

Due to electrical outage, school will be released at 9:30 am today. Car riders will be picked up at 9:15am. Busses will leave at 9:30am. If parents are not home students will be brought back to the elementary school campus. Swepco is estimating power will not return to campus until mid afternoon at the earliest.

What a Start, Wildcats!

August has been a busy and exciting month at Big Sandy ISD! From welcoming everyone back to classrooms, activities, athletics, and all the moments in between, we’ve had a great start to the 2026–2027 school year.

As we head into September, here’s a little something to look forward to... a long weekend is coming!

What a great week for Wildcat Athletics!

JV and Varsity Ladycat Volleyball picked up wins, and JV and Varsity Wildcat Football did the same!

It’s been an exciting start to the season, and we’re proud of the hard work our student-athletes and coaches are putting in.

Great things are happening, and we’re just getting started!
