Your contributions will be doubled through a 1:1 matching challenge grant!
Here are the details of the biking adventure on June 6th:
Meet at Drury’s General Store in Big Bay 12:30 to caravan to Andersen Corner and the historic site of the Christ Andersen homestead on the Yellow Dog Plains. From there, the current Stromquist family camp, we will gear up for a 15-mile ride on the seldomly traveled back roads, including a spin through the Christ Andersen Headwaters Preserve, and the Champion or fire tower road.
Be sure to bring water, snacks, a repair kit if you have one (our guides will have repair equipment too),rain gear (check the weather), sunblock, bug repellent and/or head nets for the breaks. So far, the bugs aren’t bad, but by June 6th, who knows. It may all depend on the weather and the wind. Of course, as long as we’re riding the bugs can’t catch us.
Some light refreshments will be available at the cabin upon our return, and maybe a dip in the pond or a splash of water from the hand pump will be in order.
We will return to Big Bay and the Thunder Bay Inn by 5-5:30 pm for pizza (compliments of YDWP) with presentation following at 7.

The trip consists of two loops, so if after the first loop anyone feels that they need to stop, the cabin and vehicles are not far.

You can also register for the presentation only.
