Bexley Celebrations & Events' Main Event May 29: Shazzbots, Minecraft, and more!

The Main Event brings together live music, activities, games, and crafts on the Main lawn, followed by a movie under the stars. The May 29 Main Event kicks off at 6:00 pm, with the Minecraft Movie at sunset (around 9:00 pm).

Bexley Community Survey Coming Soon!

Beginning in late May, randomly selected Bexley households will begin receiving postcard invitations to participate in the City’s 2026 Community Survey. This survey is one of the many ways Bexley residents can help shape the future of our community by sharing thoughts on City services, housing, shopping and dining options, neighborhood quality of life, and more. The survey is being conducted by professional polling firm Saperstein Associates, and all individual responses will be kept strictly anonymous. The City of Bexley is pleased to announce the election of Mayor Ben Kessler as Chair of the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC). Mayor Kessler previously served as Vice Chair of the commission and chaired MORPC’s Regional Sustainability Roundtable.

MORPC plays a vital role in shaping transportation, sustainability, housing, and regional collaboration efforts across Central Ohio.

Jeffrey Park Playground Reno: Public Workshop
Wednesday, May 27 at 6:00 pm at Jeffrey Mansion - Carriage Court
The Bexley Recreation & Parks Department invites the community to a public workshop next Wednesday, May 27 to provide feedback on a draft renovation plan for the Jeffrey Park Playground.

Over the past several months, a working committee made up of City staff and resident volunteers has explored ideas for the playground through community conversations and visits to playgrounds across the greater Columbus area for inspiration. The workshop will provide an opportunity to review the draft concept plan, discuss potential play features, and share feedback that will help shape the future of the space. Community members who are unable to attend are encouraged to participate by completing the online survey at bit.ly/JeffreyParkPlaygroundSurvey2026.

Trash, recycling, yard waste, and food waste collection will be delayed one day in honor of Memorial Day. Please leave containers at their normal locations on Monday night to be picked up Tuesday morning.

Any material that is not picked up by Tuesday evening should be reported as a miss at bexley.org/reportamiss. Misses will be collected on Wednesday.

Memorial Day Ceremony
Monday, May 25 at 11:00 am at Drexel Circle

Join us on May 25 at Drexel Circle to honor those have served our county. Each Memorial Day presents an important opportunity to remember and celebrate the brave individuals who have served, and as we reflect on our nation's 250th anniversary, the occasion feels especially meaningful. The ceremony will take place at the northwest corner of Drexel Circle near the memorial. All are welcome and invited to attend!
