These three little ones had quite the field trip today. After a brief, unauthorized attempt to join the Forestry crew, they’ve concluded that fieldwork is best left to the professionals — for now. They’ve since been returned to their point of origin, where we’re keeping a close eye on their wellbeing and hoping for a happy reunion with mom soon!

Old Bin & Barrel Pickup Update:

After not completing the full route yesterday, Casella has called in extra trucks to assist with this week’s collection of your old trash and recycling plastic bins and barrels. Crews will work through the week on all routes and pickup may extend into Saturday, Aug 1.

Please leave your old bins and barrels out until
Casella picks them up.

The delivery of new trash and recycling carts will continue this week as we work to serve all 13,000 customers. Thank you for your patience during this process.

Please do not refuse delivery if the carts are not the size you requested. Simply use what you receive for now — carts will be swapped out as soon as possible, including before your next trash day if we're able. If the swap hasn't happened by trash day, please use the cart you have and we'll get it sorted quickly.

There are 5 crews delivering carts throughout the City, so if you ordered a non-standard size, your cart may arrive on a different day than your neighbors'. Please allow a little extra time before reaching out.

***The deadline to request a different size is August 15th. You can submit a request using this form: https://www.beverlyma.gov/FormCenter/Engineering-10/Curbside-Trash-Recycling-Cart-Downsize-R-59.***

For any issues with your cart delivery, email [email protected] — it's the fastest way to get your concern addressed. Staff will respond as quickly as they can.

If you previously requested a different size but would like to cancel after trying the standard carts, email [email protected] with the subject line "Cancel Request - Your Address."
