There are 23 new bestsellers, ten new movies, three new audiobooks, 28 new children's books, and 545 other new books, including 500 that are available online.

The new bestsellers this week include "Big Little Truths," "The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion: Vol. 1," and "Pardon My Book: Ten Years of the Best in Sports from Pardon My Take." The new movies this week include "The Mandalorian and Grogu," "Project Hail Mary," and "Disclosure Day."

Fall is an exciting time for those who keep an eye out for birds. During our monthly bird walks in the fall, we often see visitors rarely seen in this area any other time of the year. So we put together a list of three things you can do to help support our local birds:

1. Keep your cat inside: Outdoor cats kill billions of birds every year. Want to see cool birds visiting your yard? Don't let your cat roam outside alone.

2. Make your windows safer: Up to 1 billion birds are killed annually by hitting windows. There are a multitude of easy (and cheap!) ways to make your windows safe for birds.

3. Less Lawn, More Native Plantings: Lawns and pavement don’t offer enough food or shelter for many birds. Consider adding a few native plantings to your green spaces and watch the birds flock in!

We want to thank everyone who made our fabulous Summer Reading possible! The numbers are in and the results: 1034 readers completed the full summer reading challenge! 📚️

713 kids logged 513,360 minutes!
138 teens completed over 1,380 activities!
Adults read 907 books!

Not to mention all the pots decorated, concerts enjoyed, and puzzles put together! We had a wonderful time, and are looking forward to all the great things we have planned for the fall.
