On January 27th, the Nassau County Legislators recognized the incredible efforts of our very own Office of Emergency Management (OEM) team for their unwavering support to the community of Banner Elk, NC, after the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene.

On October 5th, 2024, our OEM team deployed to the area, delivering 10 pallets of water and 10 pallets of Meals Ready to Eat (MREs), providing crucial assistance during a time of dire need.
