On the morning of Sunday, April 19th, members of Ladder Company 6 and Engine Company 3 of the Levittown Fire Department conducted a joint cross-training exercise with Bethpage Ladder Company 3 at Levittown’s training facility. The training focused on two detailed evolutions simulating fire conditions in a multiple dwelling, allowing members to operate in realistic, high-pressure scenarios.

These evolutions emphasized coordinated fireground operations, including communication, search and rescue techniques, ventilation, and suppression tactics. Working alongside Bethpage Ladder 3 provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen interdepartmental coordination and reinforce the importance of teamwork during mutual aid responses.

All participating members demonstrated professionalism, dedication, and a strong commitment to honing their skills. The training proved to be an excellent learning experience for everyone involved, enhancing both individual performance and overall company readiness.

Ladder 6 looks forward to continuing this partnership and conducting additional joint training exercises in the future to further build on these skills and maintain the highest level of service to the community

It is with a heavy heart that the officers and members of Ladder Company 6 announce the untimely and tragic passing of our sister, Lindsey.

Her smile, laugh, and willingness to help anyone will be forever missed—along with the cupcakes and cookies she always left for us. Lindsey was a talented, hard working and passionate young woman, and taken from us far too soon.

Please keep our company and Lindsey’s family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time. 🖤
