SCAM ALERT: PROTECT YOURSELF, LEHIGH.
We’ve received reports of scammers spoofing the Lehigh Police Department’s number to target students. They are claiming you have “outstanding fines” and threatening arrest if you don’t pay immediately.

Here is the truth: 1️⃣ LUPD will NEVER demand payment over the phone. 2️⃣ LUPD will NEVER ask for payment via Zelle, Venmo, or Gift Cards. 3️⃣ Scammers can “spoof” caller ID to make it look official—don’t let the name on your screen fool you.

If you get this call: HANG UP. If you’re worried, call the real LUPD non-emergency line directly from a trusted university directory.
