Colonial Regional Police Association 5k Race to the Blue Line On May 6, 2017 The Colonial Regional Police Association will be having a 5k/1mile walk to benefit a LEO charity.

According to statistics from Officer Down Memorial Page, in 2015 there were a total of 129 line of duty deaths of Law Enforcement Officers. This 5k race is Colonial Regional Police Association's way to honor those Fallen Officers and their families by raising money for a TBD charity. A portion of the proceeds will go to supporting the Colonial Regional Police Association and its members. The Assoc

iation also makes numerous donations throughout the year to multiple charities in the community and throughout the Country. The 5k will begin at the Hanover Township Community Center in Hanover Township Bethlehem, PA Northampton County. The race will take you through the neighborhood and back to the Community Center. This course is mostly flat, and a great first time run course. There will also be a 1 Mile Fun Walk which will also begin at the Community Center. Walkers will take a path through the park and back to the Community Center. Racers who register within the posted time frame will be guaranteed a race package to include a T-shirt. The race results will be broken down into categories based on age and gender and prizes will be awarded to top runners of each category. A year ago, CRPD lost a police wife and friend, Jennifer Hendershot. She died unexpectedly. The CRPD wives are hosting a Jennifer Hendershot Memorial 5k run and 1 mile dog walk at the Hanover Township Community Center to raise money for her 2 young sons. We hope to make this an annual event. Please join us by going to our Jennifer Hendershot Memorial 5k page and signing up for this run/ walk event.

Thanks again to everyone who participated, volunteered, donated and showed support last year at the race. The proceeds from the race was donated to the families and Officers of the incident in Dallas Texas through the Dallas Foundation.

We are off to a late start this year but the race is scheduled for Saturday May 6, 2017 and we hope to see everyone there. Follow and share the page for more information!
