Join us as Bethlehem celebrates Juneteenth!

On Sunday, June 14, community members are invited to gather for the Flag Raising at Bethlehem City Hall Plaza at 2:00 PM, followed by a Children’s Festival from 3:00–5:00 PM at 839 Sesame St.

Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when the news of freedom reached enslaved people in Galveston, Texas. This year’s Lehigh Valley celebration includes events across Bethlehem, Easton, and Allentown.

The City of Bethlehem envisions a future where streets are designed for people, not just for cars. To make this vision a reality, the City is creating a Complete Streets Plan to make our roads safer, more comfortable, and more accessible for everyone, whether you walk, bike, take transit, or drive.

Join us from 6-8pm on June 18th to discuss improvement ideas, the draft bicycle network, and projects on Broad Street and Stefko Boulevard!
