Good evening everyone. My name is Misty Parker, and I am a fed up mom that has had enough of the Barrow County School System “Politics”. These are our children and grandchildren that Politics are playing with. I am looking forward to getting in and learning the job I am seeking election for, and working on being a voice for the children of Barrow County. I fought for 9 months to get my son the help he needed. Only 1 person in the school board helped me and she wasn’t even in my district!!! I am looking forward to working alongside the other fed up parents and make this a thriving school system with not only high graduation rates, but those graduates actually having learned what they were taught, not just pushed through!! As far as CRT, that has to go!!! Division has no place in the school system, and that is all that is in my eyes!!! Also, I believe s*xual education starts at home!! No child in Elementary School needs to know about s*x, especially by teachers!!! Parents need to be made aware of what is being taught and have a voice for what is taught in class!!! These are our kids!!! We have to be that voice!!! I plan on being a very loud voice and helping to make sure these kids are not pushed through, or falling through the cracks!!!
