water is back on and our boil order will be from 11 am January 31 to 11 am February 2 2026 for Railroad and East Spring Street residents .

We have a water break on the OLD water line on Railroad st at 5:30 am January 31, 2026. The water is being isolated and will on affect residents on Railroad and East Spring St. Workers are working on the break.
Please be advised of the icey road conditions because of the -8 degree temperatures.
A Boil order will be ordered for residents on Railroad & East Spring St. For 48 hours from 11 am January 31 to 11 am February 2, 2026.

Starting today we can accept online payments for water/sewer bills, shelter rentals, Mayors Court Fines, and EMS Billings. There is a 3% fee added to the transaction that is collected by the card processor. This is not a fee we charge, but a fee charged by the processor to process your transaction.

Ultimately, we hope this helps some residents who don’t want to write checks or make a special trips to the office and offer flexibility and convenience.

Bethesda was incorporated as a village in 1910 and is located in the heart of Belmont County, Ohio. The Village is home to Epworth Park and the annual Chautauqua Homecoming in July.

Update

Water back on at McKinley and Rice at 2:45pm
48 boil order from Dec.11 at 2:45pm to Dec 13 2:45pm

We have another break on Rice Street.
Water will be isolated from the corner of Buckeye and corner of McKinley St.
Boil order when water comes back on will be for 48 hours.
Put the dates in...Dec. 11 to Dec. 13...ill let you know on the times

We have a water break on West Spring Street at 7:03 am this morning. This is an old 4 inch line that has not been replaced. This break is isolated and only affects citizens on West Spring St.
There will be a boil order of 48 hour after the line is repaired. From Dec. 11 , Thursday, 11 am to Dec 13 Saturday at 11am.
If these times and dates change, another notice will be put out.
