Did you know?? Now that the Bethel campus Spring Concert and Art Exhibit is successfully behind us, students will be bringing their artwork home in the coming days. The expectation is that they share it with their families, who can then help them decide its long-term fate. Sometimes the work kids bring home might not please an adult aesthetic. This could be because art is subjective and their developmentally appropriate work was beautiful and meaningful to them, or because creativity is always a learning process. Have questions? Ask the artist! A few highlights from the hard work displayed in last night's exhibit: K-8 concert poster designs, PreK printed butterflies feeding on flowers, 3rd grade cardboard attachment tests and projects, middle school ceiling tile legacy projects, and 6th grade ceramic tile paintings. Wishing you a creative summer!

Yesterday Aly Richards, a democratic candidate for Governor, visited the WRVSU to learn more about the work we do in our community schools.

Richards, a former CEO for Let's Grow Kids, first visited the Waterman Campus - our supervisory union's new alternative program designed to give students a more flexible, hands-on educational experience. Afterwards the candidate toured the White River Valley Middle School where she was met by student ambassadors to learn about that school from the student perspective. Richards finished her WRVSU visit at the Sharon Elementary School to learn more about the building project that school has begun.
