All circuits should be back on and running!
All main areas of town should have power back.
If you do not, please call the Village at 217-665-3351 so we can make a list to check.

POWER UPDATE:
June 12th 7:03am

The Village is starting to turn sections of town back on with power.
They are continuing to work through the areas still out.
PLEASE BE AWARE:
There are still several secondary lines down.
So if you're out and about and see a power line down, please avoid the area! Those lines could be live and dangerous!

POWER UPDATE:
June 12th, 1:56am

Ameren is in the process of switching our feed from Moweaqua to Chesterville. It will still be a while before the switch is made. But unfortunately there is still much to do internally until power will be restored. We are still working and will continue working through the night. All Bethany Village circuits are off and will remain off until all the downed primary lines are back up and repaired. At this time, it will most likely be late morning before we have power back.

Rest assured we are working diligently to get things back up and running. So please hang in there!

UPDATE:
10:02pm

It will be several hours before power will be restored!
We are not expecting power back before morning at this point in time.

The Village is out right now working. Their main priority right now is clearing roadways and assessing power line damage. Please DO NOT go out driving unless absolutely necessary!! There are power lines down everywhere and we are still locating new ones. If you have any issues that need attended to, please call 217-665-3351 and press 1 to be transferred to the on call reporting phone.

POWER OUTAGE:

The Village is aware of the area wide power outage!
It has hit Bethany and surrounding areas.
We will try to keep everyone posted as we learn more.

POWER OUTAGE UPDATE
To our knowledge, there is at least one Ameren pole down between Bethany and Moweaqua. Ameren will assess once the worst is past. Expect a few hours at least for a repair to be made.

POWER LINE DOWN:

There is a downed power line in the area of South Dixie and West Robinson.

Please avoid the area while our guys work to make the necessary repairs.

EMAIL SPAM:

To anyone who may have received an email from [email protected] (Jessica Henderson) asking to open an email for documents...IT IS SPAM! Please delete the email and do no open the attachement!

The Village's attorney's email was hacked and in turn got access to the Village's email address and has been sending spam emails to everyone the Village has ever contacted in the last 8 years!

Again...please delete the email!
We are working to get it stopped!
