Groundbreaking at Ripper Park!π
The City of Bethany held a groundbreaking ceremony at the Ripper Park pickleball courts to celebrate upcoming improvements made possible through funding from AARP Community Challenge.
We are grateful to receive this funding, which will help make Bethany more livable, accessible, and welcoming for residents of all ages. The project will add benches, shade structures, and bleachers near the courts, creating comfortable spaces for residents and visitors to relax, watch games, and enjoy time outdoors with friends, family, and neighbors.
These enhancements will support opportunities for social connection and help older adults remain active, engaged, and connected to the community.
We were honored to celebrate this milestone alongside representatives from AARP Oklahoma, who presented the City of Bethany with the grant award, as well as Senator Julia Kirt, Representative Tammy West, Mayor Amanda Sandoval, Councilor Kathy Larsen, BEDA member Joan Jenkinson, City Manager Elizabeth Gray, Parks Committee citizen advisor Robert Helton, and members of City staff.
We look forward to seeing these improvements come to life! πΎ
