📍 New Zoning Lookup Tool Now Available

Bessemer City has launched a new online Zoning Lookup Tool to make it easier for residents, property owners, developers, and businesses to find the zoning district for a property.

By entering an address or parcel ID, users can quickly view the general zoning type for that location. This tool is intended to improve access to basic zoning information and help point users in the right direction.

Please note: the tool provides general zoning district information only. It does not confirm allowed uses, development standards, or replace an official zoning determination. For questions about permitted uses, regulations, or specific development requirements, please contact the Bessemer City Planning & Zoning Department or review the Bessemer City Land Development Code.

Bessemer City and surrounding areas are actively in or near an extreme drought according to the U.S. Drought Monitor. Bessemer City, along with other municipalities and large water providers in the Catawba-Wateree River Basin, is urging voluntary water conservation to its customers at the request of the Catawba-Wateree Drought Management Advisory Group (CW-DMAG), coordinated by Duke Energy. CW-DMAG has elevated the drought status from Stage 0 (watch) to Stage 1 (voluntary conservation).The City is asking all residents and businesses to help conserve water as part of our Water Shortage Conservation Plan.
