Be a voice for your community by joining the MWRD's 2026–2028 Community Partnership Council!

• Learn about current MWRD programs, priorities, and projects
• Share perspective on community needs
• Collaborate on outreach strategies and partnerships
• Help shape initiatives that support environmental stewardship, equity, and engagement

The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRD) is pleased to invite members of the general public to participate in the 2026–2028 Community Partnership Council. As we continue our mission to protect public health and the environment, community insight remains essential. Your voice helps strengthen the connection between MWRD initiatives and the residents, businesses, and organizations we serve.

The Community Partnership Council meets quarterly during standard business hours for a two-year cohort. Sessions are held at various locations throughout the Cook County. Each session lasts approximately 2 hours, and Council members are asked to participate in at least 6 of the 8 sessions.

The Community Partnership Council is designed to provide a space for the general public to learn and share ideas. We encourage elected officials to attend Watershed Planning Council meetings to offer input on local stormwater needs and opportunities.

Thank you for your consideration and commitment to a healthier, more resilient region. We look forward to collaborating with you in the years ahead.

If you are interested in joining the Council for the 2026–2028 term, please complete and submit the application at https://mwrd.org/community-action/community-partnership-council.
