2026 Shared-Cost Sidewalk Program Deadline has been EXTENDED

Each spring, the City offers property owners the opportunity to replace broken or damaged public sidewalks at a shared cost of $125.00 per 5x5 square block, in accordance with program guidelines.

Property owners may submit the 2026 Shared-Cost Sidewalk Program Mailer Application or apply online using the portal link as follows: https://cityofberwyn.formstack.com/forms/shared_cost_sidewalk_program

The Berwyn Fire Department began the annual citywide fire hydrant flushing today. This will run through May 15. Residents are advised not to do laundry while hydrant flushing happens in your neighborhood. During the flushing, residents may notice temporary discoloration of water. If that should occur, run cold water from a faucet on the lowest level of the home until the water runs clear.

The Berwyn Fire Department will begin hydrant flushing across the City of Berwyn as part of routine maintenance to support water quality and system performance. Flushing will take place Monday through Friday, approximately between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., from May 4 through May 15.
