🍂 September Forage Guide 🍂
A hint of Fall - maybe?
September an important month for planning your forages. Here are a few key reminders:
🌾Plant: Annual ryegrass, orchardgrass, tall fescue, timothy, alfalfa, sorghum sudangrass, pearl millet, browntop millet, corn, and small grains.
🚜Spray: Apply brush control herbicides, treat summer perennial broadleaf weeds, and spray pre-emergence by mid-September for ryegrass control.
🐂Harvest & Graze: Start your stockpile plan and remember, you should be grazing almost everything this time of year!
