Carroll County Circuit Clerk - Sara Huffman Clerk of the Circuit Court and Ex-Officio Recorder of Carroll County, Arkansas The Circuit Clerk maintains a record of many miscellaneous items.

The Circuit Clerk is the clerk of the circuit court consisting of criminal and domestic relations, civil court, and juvenile court and usually acts as the ex-officio recorder of the county. The administrative duties of the circuit clerk are to maintain a record of all proceedings of the circuit courts and to prepare the dockets for these courts (ACA 16-20-102). The circuit clerk issues summons, wa

rrants, and writs, records orders, judgments, and injunctions authorized by the circuit court for delivery by the County Sheriff. The Circuit Clerk also maintains a file of all cases pending in either court, as well as a record of all past court cases and their disposition (ACA 16-20-303 and 16-20- 304). In addition, the Circuit Clerk acts as a secretary to the jury commission by keeping a list of all prospective jurors (ACA 16-32-105). The Circuit Clerk is also the ex-officio county recorder; and is responsible for recording deeds, mortgages, liens, and surety bonds, and many other orders and instruments which involve property within the county (ACA 14-15-402). The Circuit Clerk also swears in all notaries public and files regulations of state agencies which license trade or professional workers. This page is for informational purposes only. Today is my 4 year anniversary with the County. The first picture is me on my very first day recording land records in the Western District. If you would have told me that day that in just 4 short years, I would be over halfway into my first term as Circuit Clerk, I would’ve called you crazy! I’m so thankful for a few nameless people who had enough faith in me to put me on this path. They knew I could do it, even before I did.

Thank you, Carroll County, for allowing me to serve you in this way. I look forward to being your Circuit Clerk for many, many more years.

The Circuit Clerk’s office will be closed tomorrow 2/18 due to impending weather.

If you are scheduled for Circuit Court tomorrow, it will be rescheduled at a later date. Please consult with your attorney or check caseinfo.arcourts.gov for a new scheduling notice.

The Commissioners Sale that was scheduled for 9am tomorrow in the Western District will also be reacheduled at a later date.
