District Retires Stadium Debt Early, Saving the district $1.5 Million. Berrien Springs Public Schools is committed to being a responsible steward of taxpayer dollars while continuing to invest in opportunities for our students, families, and community.

This year, the district made a strategic decision to pay off the remaining debt associated with the construction of Sylvester Stadium ahead of schedule. By retiring the debt early, the district will save approximately $1.5 million in future interest costs, reducing long-term expenses and strengthening our financial future. This past Friday was extra special as our Grandparents came to school! We loved showing them our classrooms, sharing smiles, and making memories together. Happy Grandparent’s Day to all the wonderful grandmas and grandpas in our lives. 💚

Mars Elementary would like to recognize Ms. Patty and Mrs. Schuler both of whom keep everything running smoothly. Our administrative professionals are truly the heart of Mars - supporting staff and students, and handling whatever each day brings with skill and flexibility.

No two days are ever the same, and while so much of their work happens quietly, its impact is felt everywhere. Their dedication, problem-solving, and positive attitude make a difference in ways that often go unseen—but never unappreciated.
