The Bernardsville Public Library is a space where our community can grow and thrive. Our Library is a great library—a welcoming beacon in our town. In a recent Borough survey, 82% of respondents listed the Library as an important strength of our community. Almost half the respondents said the Library was among the top four aspects of Bernardsville that are most important to them.
Many factors go into making our Library a great library: a welcoming space; a knowledgeable, friendly and professional staff; books; media services; community events; appreciative patrons; and, of course, financial resources. The monetary costs of providing and sustaining a great Library are substantial and the Borough does support these costs. Sometimes, however, there is a budgetary shortfall, and the mission of the Bernardsville Library Foundation is to bridge that shortfall when it occurs. It is a worthy and important goal which can only happen with your help.
