Saturday night we celebrated two of our retired Bernard Firefighter/EMTs. They were honored at the Dubuque Training Center Fundraiser Dinner!

Jason Kremer was inducted into the Hall of Flame for 25 years of dedicated service to our community, with impact across Dubuque County, Iowa, and at the state level through his work with the Iowa Fire Chiefs Association.

Mike Burke received the Star of Life award for his leadership and commitment to strengthening rural EMS in Dubuque and Jackson counties.

Congratulations and thank you both for your incredible service!

Also pictured and in attendance was retired firefighter/First Responder Lynn McDonnell who was a past Chief.

All three served as Fire Chief for 10 years each! Congratulations!! And Thank you for your service! 👨🏻‍🚒🚒🚑

Wow… is what comes to mind when we discuss the Bernard Rescue Unit auction last night!! We say it all the time we have the best community in the world!! It’s true. You guys always come thru and we can not say thank you enough!!! Thank you to all that made it down!! Thank you to all that donated!!!! The Cascade FFA for the delicious food, the auctioneers and all that make it possible to keep improving!
