NOW HERE THIS...NOW HERE THIS...USS SLATER is expected to depart Albany via tugboats this Sunday, July 5th, time 0500, for her voyage to Staten Island for shipyard repairs. We expect the voyage to take approximately 20 hours, but due to traffic on the river it is impossible to predict arrival times. Viewing this WWII warship moving down the Hudson River was a special treat that many New Yorkers enjoyed during our last voyage in 2015. The best places to view the ship are your city's riverfront parks and the Walkway Over the Hudson in Poughkeepsie. Check our page throughout the day Sunday to see updates and we will be posting a link that will make it easier to track the tugs.

As we navigate through these difficult times, remember that now, more than ever, your donations are critical to keeping us afloat, until we can reopen to the public. The donate button is on our homepage, www.ussslater.org. You can support us through our gift shop, as it is currently open for mail orders. You can visit it at https://www.facebook.com/pg/USS.Slater/shop/?ref=page_internal. Thank you for your continued support and don’t forget to like us on Facebook for daily updates.
