๐Ÿ’™ As Community Action Month comes to a close, we want to take a moment to say thank you.

May has been filled with opportunities to celebrate, connect, educate, and advocate. From Hearts Across New Hampshire at the State House to our Annual Meeting, community events, resource fairs, volunteer projects, outreach activities, and everything in between, we've been proud to share the story of Community Action and the impact it has across the Tri-County region and beyond.

Thank you to our staff, board members, volunteers, community partners, elected officials, supporters, and fellow Community Action Agencies across New Hampshire, who make this work possible. Your commitment, collaboration, and belief in this work help strengthen communities and create opportunities for thousands of Granite Staters each year.

As one of New Hampshire's five Community Action Agencies, TCCAP is proud to be part of a statewide and national network dedicated to helping people, changing lives.

What a wonderful morning of connection, celebration, and community!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Annual Meeting. We were honored to gather with community partners, service providers, elected officials, supporters, board members, and staff as we reflected on another year of the impact of Community Action across Coรถs, Carroll, and Grafton Counties.

We were grateful to welcome Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander and appreciate her taking the time to join us and share a few remarks. A special thank you as well to our presenting guest speaker, Kathleen Reardon, CEO of the New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits, for sharing her insights and perspective with attendees.

Another highlight of the morning was recognizing Kirk Stone, Weatherization Program Manager for the New Hampshire Department of Energy, as the recipient of this year's Spirit of Community Action Award. Kirk's longstanding commitment to New Hampshire's Community Action Agencies and the communities they serve has helped make a meaningful difference in the lives of countless Granite Staters.

We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to outgoing Board President Sandy Alonzo for more than a decade of dedicated service to TCCAP. Her leadership, commitment, and advocacy have helped strengthen both our organization and the communities we serve.

Here's to another year of collaboration, impact, and helping our neighbors achieve stability and self-sufficiency.

May is not only Community Action Month but also Older Americans Month, a time to recognize the important role older adults play in our communities and raise awareness about the supports that help individuals maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life as they age.

In FY25, approximately 30% of individuals served by TCCAP identified as age 65 or older, highlighting the continued need for accessible, community-based support and services for older adults throughout our region.

One of the ways TCCAP helps meet that need locally is through the Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Coรถs County. The ADRC offers free, unbiased information, support, referrals, and application assistance for older adults, individuals with disabilities, caregivers, and families navigating healthcare coverage, long-term care options, transportation, housing, and other community services.

Appointments are available in the office, out in the community, or in the home by request.

To learn more, call the ADRC of Coรถs County at ๐Ÿ“ž 603-752-6407.

It was a great afternoon filled with connection, conversation, and community as individuals and families explored local resources, support services, employment opportunities, and early childhood programs available throughout the region.

We are especially grateful to the many agencies, organizations, employers, and service providers who participated and helped make the event such a success.

Thank you as well to everyone who stopped by, asked questions, made connections, and took the time to learn more about the programs and opportunities available locally.
